About the Journal

University Scientific Notes (until 2005 — Bulletin of the Khmelnytskyi Institute of Regional Management and Law) is a multidisciplinary peer-reviewed scholarly journal that publishes the results of original research in the fields of law, economics, and public administration, as well as interdisciplinary studies conducted at the intersection of these fields.

The journal was founded in 2002. During 2009–2024, its co-founders included the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine (legal successor — Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv) and the Institute of Legislation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (legal successor — the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine).

Publisher — Leonid Yuzkov Khmelnytskyi University of Management and Law.

The mission of the journal is to provide an open academic platform for the dissemination of fundamental and applied research aimed at advancing legal, economic, and public administration sciences, improving legislation, law enforcement practice, and governance mechanisms, and integrating research outcomes into the national and international academic environment.

The journal’s scope reflects its historical specialization and includes research on:

  • the development of legal doctrine, legislation, and law enforcement;

  • theoretical and applied issues of the functioning of the legal system;

  • institutional, legal, and economic foundations of state and societal development;

  • legal aspects of the activities of public authorities and local self-government;

  • public administration, administrative procedures, and governance;

  • economic and legal mechanisms of regulation of social relations;

  • transformation of legal and governance institutions under contemporary socio-economic changes;

  • interdisciplinary research combining legal, economic, and public administration approaches.

The journal publishes scholarly articles (including review articles) and book reviews.
